Mr. John Sells a Lie

Sean john has a new campaign called " Don't Buy A Lie". There is even a site for this campaign where you can snitch on clothing stores housing counterfeit Sean John clothing. But wait a minute who is really the lier, The Consumer or the Creator.

Remember back in October when i did a post on Sean John biting 10 deeps Ad. Sean John Pretends to be original and hot but really the company bites off of what the up and coming clothing lines are doing. Like so many other large clothing lines. Its nothing new.

Another reason Sean John is such a Stupid company for putting out this don't buy a lie BS is because on the heels of this campaign comes reports from Macy's that they have removed a line of new sean john hoodies because they were using raccoon dog fur and claiming it was faux fur.

"First these jackets were falsely advertised as faux fur, and then it turned out that the fur came from a type of dog," said Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States."-news.yahoo.com

What a stupid mistake. I love to see black men do something good with there lives but not when they trick there consumers. And do false advertisements to get paid.

Here's what Sean John said about the situation "I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy's floor and Web site. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately."-news.yahoo.com
