Just when you thought the "street wear" game was loosing its influence on the world here comes the high fashion Gods Dolce & Gabbana to take a bite off of street wears brown dried up turd.

Dolce & Gabbana has joined the rotting ses pool of so many other clothing lines by trying to come out with a "Street Wear" like shirt. Dolce & Gabbana has brought us back about 4 years, to the time when canal street was swamped with Nintendo shirts and Mario Brothers remakes. In there attempt to be "street" they fail greatly. I was trying not to hate anymore but come on this one was to easy.

And if the Mario tee don't do it for you just check out the Campbell's soup tee. I wonder if they stayed true to the game and just found random pictures through yahoo then dumped them into photoshop. This tee looks like a easy heat transfer haha. Bet they didn't need the sweat shop for this one(allegedly). hahaha... I just crack my self up

         2006 is long gone but we are still living in the destruction our culture caused last year. Hopefully we can dig our selves out the rubbish and get back to being the real deal. I remember watching Beat Street, Style Wars, and other movies based on the 80's and late 70's culture and saying to my self "Damn those dudes back then were so innovative, creative, and different." They brought to the world a new way of thinking, expression, and living. But now of days our vision has been blurred by the weak efforts of our youth, and grown ass men trying to mirror that same sense of style and fashion. The youth of the late 70's and 80's were doing things that were never seen, and they were creating a lane that had never been paved before. But today we see kids looking more like Steve Urkel calling them selves "Old Skool" or "Retro". But there's nothing old skool about it. We try to hide an open eye to these events and things that are happening but i believe we can never move on unless we cut this Crap out.

         All the designers and clothing lines that are well established or on the come up in the "StreetWear World" please show us different ideas and material in 07. Don't do it for me, because who am I but a lonely hater with nothing to do but cry. Do it for the kids of our future. Because when these young kids look back there gonna say "yo 2006 was them old school days, Look at them wearing Kongo's and acid washed jeans there hot they started that shit." And then they forget or never learn about the real kids who started there own thing and were the creative geniuses behind the Culture in the 80's. The line between biting and inspiration gets blurred many times. I think its time too get out the reading glasses and see things for what they really are.

         Last year we saw the Defamation of HipHop's Corpse. HipHop has been "dead" to the main stream eye for many years. In the 80's and early 90's the new artist that were at the top and getting the most play were artist like Run DMC, Rakim, Pete Rock and CL Smooth etc. Now of days the main artist getting played are not saying anything meaning full and are just making songs about the same thing over and over again. Whether they are from the south, north, west, east, or mars. Please in 2007 lets be creative and different.

         I say HipHop is dead to the main stream audience because HIP HOP is alive in the underground. I mean when you got new albums like Liberation from Talib Kweli and Madlib how can you say hip hop is dead. The HipHop on 106 and park is dead. That part of the culture is DEAD. But there are artist creating Jewels that will stand the test of time. And they are living in the underground or not so main stream community

         Last year we saw the death of the Producer, DJ, and Soul. From J-Dilla The producer dieing, Beat Street record shop in Brooklyn getting closed, and Jame Brown Dieing. This is a symbol of our culture today. We are running out of time to make our stamp in this worlds history. So in 2007 i ask for NEW SHIT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sean john has a new campaign called " Don't Buy A Lie". There is even a site for this campaign where you can snitch on clothing stores housing counterfeit Sean John clothing. But wait a minute who is really the lier, The Consumer or the Creator.

Remember back in October when i did a post on Sean John biting 10 deeps Ad. Sean John Pretends to be original and hot but really the company bites off of what the up and coming clothing lines are doing. Like so many other large clothing lines. Its nothing new.

Another reason Sean John is such a Stupid company for putting out this don't buy a lie BS is because on the heels of this campaign comes reports from Macy's that they have removed a line of new sean john hoodies because they were using raccoon dog fur and claiming it was faux fur.

"First these jackets were falsely advertised as faux fur, and then it turned out that the fur came from a type of dog," said Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States."-news.yahoo.com

Don't you love it when you feel like you cant count on a person and then BLAOW!!... I mean i was feeling down for a minute but then i saw the Mighty Healthy realize shirt, which i did a post about. And now there is this Tee.

This tee hits hard. From it's Simplicity, to Africa being red symbolizing the Blood Diamonds conflict, I love it. Some may say this is juss a bite off of The Ever so Loved "Hip Hop Is Dead" Phrase getting thrown around today. Which is true but at the same time it is Bringing forth a very big topic in a recognized way. It is a play on the thought that hip hop is dead. We say hip hop is dead, it has lost all meaning, and it is not the way it used to be. Well because of Cultures like hip hop(Not mainly hip hop) Africa has been dead for a very long time.

Another point i would love to make about this tee is that it goes towards a cause. Its not just a catchy image The shirt is actually backed by a Group called Demand Details. Have you noticed that the post on DBTHB site has been very slow. With the slowness comes topics that have no meaning but are just pointless. I saw this happening little by little but i was waiting to see if anyone else noticed. Then i read a comment posted by an anonymous writer on my page.

What i try to do is Post on things that are of some substance and will push the culture forward. DBTHB started off that way but because i believe they were mainly going against there enemies, rivals, or competition now they have nothing to really write about. I mean come on we all know they have to be part of some clothing line some where, that's a given...and they choose not to talk about other companies that they may be friends with. But hey I have no friends and even if I do they can get it too. Anything to push us forward as a people and as up and coming leaders of the unfree world.
But i wonder could some big eye in the sky be shutting them down again hmmm.

Is it me or are the wrong people getting exposure. I mean I have no problem with young men of color doing something other than running the street and being stupid. But what are these KIDS doing for there people? What message are they sending? If given a big position at a company what can they offer other than cool poses and hair cuts. The real Innovators and creators of their own original style are being over shadowed.

How can we move forward if we live in the past. I know you have too know your past too know where your going but you don't have to mirror it too a T. Where is the originality.

I remember walking down Broadway in the SOHO area and seeing these kids chillin on a corner Near the N and R trains. They were just standing there looking real colorful. They didn't have any message or promotional items. They just wanted attention. They based there whole existence on who is seeing them and what people think of them.(Very Sad) Who knew that being a feen for attention could get you so far. Its like a little KID who will continue to bother you until you give them what they want.

And if you are going to do something then do it the right way. If your going for a certain look then how can you have new colorful sneakers with skinny laces COME ON.

I haven't been doing many updates because I wanted to start showing sum love to clothes that i like and i feel are worth coping. But my search is so limited due to the fact that there are so many Clothing Lines out there that are just Putting out the same Crap i.e BlaBlaBla you know what we are talking about already.

Ok everybody was mad at Pharrell For calling him self Skateboard P when he cudn't even do a kick flip to save his life, and Starting One of the worst Trends the Planet has seen in years. The Faker Skater , I don't Ride i juss look fly Movement. This sprung the ever so evident myspace trend of putting Skateboard in front of your name. Like Skate board F (for Frank) or Skate board Fucka. In complete anger Towards these Wac ass Kids this Tee was created.

So Today i was searching through some new blogs i wasn't familiar with and i came up on this shirt.

I will not name the Company who put this shirt out but the Title of this post should give you clues.

I mean come on we Know he's not the best skater but through his music and history it seems that Skateboarding was a big part of his life. Is it because he is black and famous that he cant be a so called "Skater"? Only Grungy dirty long hair Bohemian looking people can be skaters now of days. (no diss to my Caucasian peeps out there, but you know wat i mean).

Personally I know a few Black, Spanish, and Asian kids who have been skating for a long time. Some are known in some ways and some aren't. But they love skating. And now of days If they walk down the street with a skateboard in hand they will be labeled a "Poser".

Im not saying Lupe is A good Skater. I'm just saying be original and stop hating for no apparent reason other than making some kind of profit. This shirt is wac I've seen it before. Your just Using another persons fame and identity to make a bit of cash. And i don't think they will be making any cash due to the fact that the shirt is over priced and lacks in any quality what so ever. But who am i to talk about originality i mean this page is a Str8 up bite off of DBTHB.

First We gonna start with the new A.L.I.E.N Jungle pack II hoodies. Simple and ill with a sleek look to them

Second is this hoodie from Digital Filth. I like the color of the threading and i like the fact that i may already have a hoodie that looks like this but just need a new one. Hopefully its not too over priced.

Third is this hoodie. I never even heard about this clothing line named Vanguard. But basically they are out of Italy and from the looks of this hoodie they should have more hot shit in there lineup. At least we hope and PRAY

I remember when Seinfeld first came out. I watched it all the time. Everyone loved "Kramer" played by Michael Richards. But after this little move we will never look at him the same. He Basically got mad because a guy in the audience was messing up his act. Instead of taking it like a true comedian and shutting up the guy with a funny joke he got mad and his racist side came out.

Here's my view on the situation. The word "Nigger" is a very powerful word in different situations. Some people say "Nigga" and "Nigger" are different but its the same thing stop fooling your self. I have had white Friends that I grew up with or that listen to Rap music and they may say or use the word nigga when singing a rap lyric or talking with there black friends. But its accepted because there part of our culture and is not seen as a "outsider".

I mean do you really think that when a white guy or girl is in there house blasting some 50 Cent, Jay-Z, or Dead Prez that they actually stop them selves from saying the word. Be serious. If u believe that then your a idiot.

The differences between these two situations is that Michael Richards could not take it anymore and let his true feelings out. He may not project his self as a Racist but im pretty sure that he has a little white pointy allover print hoodie deep down inside him.

As everyone may know New Era is at the top when it comes to fitted hats. They are the main developers, and manufactures of baseball caps. We did a post a month back about New Era teaming up with "Street Wear" brands and up and coming clothing lines. We just felt the game was getting cluttered with these collabo's. not that all of them were bad .... bla bla bla you know what we mean. But We didn't see the big picture.

New Era has always been a main staple of hip hop culture post P.E and Jay-Z, But they started making there way into the Underground "Street Wear" scene in the past 2 or 3 years. Maybe this was all a plan to release there New Era Apparel.

First they would gain the respect of Kids and grown ass Men by collaborating or mainly distributing custom made new era caps by there favorite "street" brands. Of course this would gain them more and more respect and future customers for there later business adventures.

So now we have New Era Apparel. From the looks of things there staying in the sports field with some of there clothes. I Mean I haven't seen an all over print or a Black T-shirt with a Jay-z line saying "Hat cocked can't see his eyes, who could it be?/With that new blue Yankee on, who but me?" in pink letters. So we'll see what they've got in store.

But i wonder did the idea come before or after the random and numerous collaborations with "Street Wear" brands. hhmmmm

I'm so sick of this whole "Street Wear" mess. Its annoying to see these little kids wasting there money on useless crappy clothing.

In my rebellion of "Street Wear" i found a little ad in the new issue of BazAAR magazine.

For all you Little boys and girls wearing fake clothing or "BootLeg" as we call it in the "Hood", you all are aiding terrorist origination's. Terrorist like Bin Laden, Sabri al-Banna, and George WB. Opps did i say that oh well

Anyway this is whats the ad says:

"StreetWear" is NoLonger "Street"

This is a funny article I found while running through one of my favorite sites. The site had a link to this article about "trends" and "Street Wear" culture. They attribute the shift of name brand clothes to "street wear" clothing to Sean P.ddy combs and Jay-Z. This made me roll around on the floor in utter laughter.

This is the one thing of many things I hate about this country. As soon as they see something gaining the respect and attention of young kids they try to brand it and sell it to everyone. Its all about making money they don't care about where it came from and who started it as long as they can make money off of it and feed there greedy pockets. This is the same thing they did with Hip Hop. First they didn't want to Have anything to do with it. Then they realized the potential of our music and the way our young culture was driven by the look, feel and sound of our music and life.

Now they want to credit people like P.diddy, Jay-Z, and Usher with starting this movement because these are the people they have power over. These are the Black "roll models" that have big companies and make these wealthy old men even more wealthy. They can't say the names of people who are living this lifestyle and creating there own clothes and there own movements because these people don't answer to big companies. The people who are making clothes in there apartment buildings and the people who are opening up there own stores funded by the money they have grossed through hard work and creativity not just a hand down from there rich parents. These people are who should be considered "Street".

But hey who am I but a lonely hater right.

This maybe old news to some--But I had to put it on blast again I guess.
So im chillin going through the ReasonBrand Blog--and I come across this

Wow Is this a clear bite I see---I know that Big companies get a lot of there ideas from the street culture now of days--I walked into a random store and saw a bunch of all over prints and silk screens being done on some big name high respected clothing lines.

But this is just a clear bite. No inspiration here. Mr. diddy or the many people he has that works for him creatively must have just saw this as a little clothing line no one knows about and decided to take a bite out of it. This is similar to Puff Daddy's earlier career when all his hits were just str8 samples from older records.

Diddy's new album is on top tho, cant deny that but I also heard he had a lot of big names writing for him on this one from Pharoahe Monch to Nasir Jones.

So Supreme is teaming up with Timberland for there Fall collection. I must say I liked some of the stuff I saw from there new collection but when I came across these Timberlands I was like hmmmm. I respect the fact that they are stepping out of the sneaker, Newera Cult that's been happening but I don't really like these boots they just don't feel rite.

I mean I cant see a "hustler" on the corner Rocking sum beef and broccoli's with pink fur on them. But like I said I respect there individuality. I personally never heard of any other clothing line doing a collabo with timberland but im very sure that like the New era hats we will see more (___insert random street wear brand here__) X Timberland collabos.

What ever happen to the good old NY fitted--the hat that toped the average kid going to school to the homeless man on the corner. From the chart topping HipHop Emcee to the everyday working man. This hat is a staple of NYC Culture.

But now there's a new Clothing line with a new New Era hat every other day. Its becoming to much. Some of these clothing lines are just doing the same thing ie. All over prints and polka dots. Other clothing lines have actually come up with real innovative and different ways to freak a New Era Fit but still the fact remains that there all New Era hats.

We've seen some clothing lines come out with all original hats with there Logo's and no affiliation with new era but why haven't these other ones tried. Could it be a money issue could it be a Trend...hmmmm Well I'll Stick to my snap backs
